The Dynamic Link palette The Dynamic Link palette gives you full control over the use of dynamic content on your Web pages. You use the palette to set up content sources, bind placeholders to database fields, and control many other aspects of dynamic content on your site. The palette also lets you view bindings currently defined on your page and see bindings that are invalid--those not properly linked to an online database. The palette includes two tabs: The Show All Dynamic Bindings button, when pressed, shows all bindings on the Web page, both valid and invalid. When you are working online and connected to a content source, valid bindings are highlighted in the valid color (green by default); invalid bindings are highlighted in the invalid color (red by default). When you are working offline, all bindings are shown as valid, since Adobe GoLive has no way of validating the bindings. See Adobe Dynamic Link preferences for details on changing preferences, including those for the default binding colors. Using Dynamic Link > The Dynamic Link interface > The Dynamic Link palette |
